Hello Beauties!

Liquid lipsticks are everywhere now, all the big beauty brands sell them and if  your looking to buy one..or two or three it can be hard to know where to start! Hopefully this is where i can help you by reviewing the NYX Lingerie liquid lipsticks! If you want to know all about these lipsticks then keep reading!

P R I C E:

I purchased my liquid lipsticks from Priceline for $14.95AU, i feel like this is a reasonable price and a nice medium between high end and low end lipsticks. Although if you plan on buying the whole collection this could end up being a small fortune! You get 4ml’s of product in each tube.

P A C K A G I N G:

The lingerie liquid lipsticks come in simple packaging, not too bulky – perfect to fit into a small clutch or bag if need be. It has a wand applicator with a long, flat tip. Im not particularly a fan of the applicator as i have small undefined lips and without a point on the wand and it being so large i find it difficult to get the perfect lip with this, i end up going back with concealer to create a nice even “lip line”.

R A N G E:

This range is all about the more subtle, nude shades hense the name of the line! There are 24 shades all up ranging from pinky nudes, to peachy nudes to deep browns. There is definitely a nude for everyone in this range. I feel as though there is quite a good selection to pick from because they have those “in-between” colours that a lot of other brands don’t have! so i didn’t find my self having the usual dilemma of ‘oh i like that one but i wish it was bit lighter or a tad more peachy’.

W E A R:

I am pretty impressed with how these wear over the day! compared to some other brands of liquid lipsticks these are very lightweight on the lips and you only need one thin layer to get full colour payoff. If you do more then one layer it does tend to cake up and dry out so try not to layer it up if possible, also if you can’t stand the ‘dry’ feeling of matte liquid lipsticks i find patting on a light layer of lip balm before applying the lipstick   works really well to avoid that feeling without compromising the matte finish.

Top to Bottom: Lace Detail, Push Up, Bedtime Flirt, Embellishment, Exotic

O V E R A L L:

Overall i think these lipsticks are a great buy! The quality for the price is really good, you get a decent amount of product – they last a really long time and the colour range is great… 24 shades!? Its hard to resist buying every colour! There is definitely a shade for everyone in this range.

Thanks for reading lovelies ❤

Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Concealer Review

Hey guys!

Everybody loves a good concealer and has particular things they always consider before purchasing one, it hopes it will be the perfect pick! The Shape Tape Concealer from Tarte is everywhere on the internet at the moment, you can’t miss it! So i thought a review of this concealer will help a lot of people decide if they want to fork out the money to buy it, or not!img_1953

Firstly the price is definitely on the more high end side retailing for $37US on the Tarte website. This may seem a little too much for some people for a concealer but i do feel you get a lot of product out of this as a little goes a long way!

The packaging is a simple plastic tube with a twist off lid and a doe foot applicator. Let me tell you, the doe foot applicator is HUGE! It does make it easy to get as much product as you need in one swipe for time poor gals, although i feel like i always end up with wayy too much product on mine and i constantly need to wipe the tip on the edge of the bottle other wise i end up wasting product because i have too much on my face and no amount of blending is going to camouflage that! Another thing that frustrates me about this packaging is that because too much product comes out and i wipe the excess on the tip of the bottle, i end up with concealer all over the twist section of the cap and to me that is such a waste of product. The packaging could be improved.img_1954img_1956

This concealer honestly applies like a dream! it is so creamy yet light on your skin, it does not look cakey what so ever yet still gives you full coverage. One thing i struggle with is creasing. Every concealer i use always creases within seconds and i can’t even get in quick enough with a setting powder before the creasing starts, but with the Shape Tape i honestly did not have this problem at all! I was really shocked at how well it sat on the skin without being set with a powder. This concealer also has a light floral scent which is really nice and refreshing while still not being over powering. I picked up the colour Light-Neutral and i found this perfect for my fair skin tone. I use a darker foundation when i fake tan and this still matched perfectly to my darker foundation as well.

I wear this every single day and let me tell you, this baby holds up SO well… its amazing, on my skin it does not crease, slide off, fade, nothing! it just stays perfect how it should be all day. I also applied some of this on my eyelids as i have prominent veins on my eyelids and then eyeshadow over the top of that and it did not effect my eyeshadows wear either which is great. When it comes to the wear of this i honestly have no complaints what so ever.

If your looking for a full coverage, build able, long wearing, non creasing concealer that you can also use for highlighting AND contouring, then i highly recommend picking this one up! Its totally worth the money and you get a lot of product. I have definitely found my new holy grail concealer! Tate have totally stepped up their game lately with their products and i can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

Have a beautiful day!

REVIEW: Nude Dude Palette from The Balm

Good morning everyone!

It is so incredibly hot where i live today.. day #4 of crazy heat wave! So obviously theres no better way to bare the heat then sitting in the aircon doing a review for you guys. I received the Nude Dude Palette for christmas and i believe i have used it enough now to give you a quick review!

Firstly i just want to mention how cute this packaging is! I have always been a fan of the packaging the Balm uses. It is very unique and different from most other brands so it really makes them stand out. The Nude Dude palette has 12 eyeshadows and it has a lot of neutral shades. There are 4 matte shades and 8 shimmery shades. My favourite colour would have to be ‘Flirty’.  It is a light purple/mauve shade with gold reflect.IMG_1620.JPG

The Palette also comes with a small double ended brush (i missplaced mine) and a mirror on the lid, which makes this palette great for travel. This palette was purchased from Target in Australia for $49.99AU.

The quality of these shadows are amazing! They are extremely pigmented and they last all day with a good eyeshadow primer. I believe i will get use out of all these colours as they are very easy to wear being mostly natural shades. This palette would be suitable for most people making it perfect for a gift.

Overall i LOVE this palette and highly recommend it to everyone. It is great quality and reasonably priced. Thanks so much for reading, i will leave you now with a couple of close ups of the colours!

Have a beautiful day!

My top 5 ‘must haves’ for people just starting out their makeup collection

Starting your makeup collection can be an overwhelming experience. When you suddenly decide you want and need everything that exists in the world of makeup but you can’t afford it all at once or you can’t afford it full stop. I’m here to show you a few items I think are great for beginners in makeup, that you can get a lot of use out of. A good way to start is to buy one product each pay. This way you have something to look forward each pay day and you can slowly build your collection with items you actually like and will get use out of.
1. MAC lipstick in ‘Angel’

It seems when people first start their passion for makeup they always look to MAC cosmetics for things to buy. If you were to pick up one thing from MAC i would suggest getting a lipstick, they have many different colours and finishes. A great colour to begin with is Angel which is a nude baby pink. This colour suits everyone and can be worn with pretty much any makeup look, it can be dressed up and down for any occasion and is a cult favourite in the makeup world.
2. Gerard Cosmetics colour your smile gloss in ‘Nude’

This lipgloss has great colour pigment and can be used with ANY lipstick colour or on its own. You can use this to change a lipstick colour to a lighter colour or change the colour completely and make your own. It’s so versatile and everyone can wear it. Once again this can be dressed up or down and paired with any make up look. There are many other beautiful and crazy colours in this range and they are great quality. Gerard cosmetics often has deals on their website where you can buy them in a bunch of 2,3 or 4 and it works out to be quite cheap so it’s best to buy them while these deals are on.

3.  Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation

If your going to invest in one good high end foundation, this is the one to get. Double wear is a very popular foundation and for good reason. It is medium to full coverage, long lasting and has an almost perfect finish. Most people use this everyday but some, like myself save it for special occasions as it gives a flawless look and I find it can be a bit too much for everyday, but each to their own. A little goes a long way with this baby so it will last you forever!

4. Models Prefer highlighting and contouring palette

Contouring and highlighting is all the rage right now so of course this is a great thing to have in your collection so you can practice and play with it to try and master the art of contouring! (It’s not as hard as it seems trust me!) this palette is a more affordable version of the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour palette. The quality is great and the powders are soft and buttery, there are different colours for different shades of skin. This palette can also be used as eye shadows too so it’s definitely great value for money.

5. Urban Decay Naked Palettes

Lastly we have the Urban Decay naked palettes. Here I have the naked 3 palette but really any of the naked palettes would be great to have while your starting out your makeup collection. They offer a great variety of everyday/evening eyeshadow colours and you can make endless eye looks with these palettes. The naked palettes have matte and shimmery shades. If you purchase one of these you won’t find the need to buy hundreds of individual eyeshadow colours so you do get your money’s worth here, they are also great for travel in this compact metal case.
Well that’s my top 5 picks for starting your makeup collection. If you have these along with basic things like eyeliner. Mascara and blush then you will be set for a while until you can save up and buy more exciting things! Have fun makeup shopping!!

They have SO many colours and finishes that it can be a bit overwhelming when it comes time to pick one, whether it be your first M.A.C lipstick or your 20th! So I thought I’d share with you my top 3 picks.
Now I’m someone who tends to wear a lot of nudes and peachy pinks, but the three colours I picked I feel cover all occasions that you may need a lippy for!

No. 1 ‘Lovelorn’ (Lustre)

Lovelorn is a beautiful nude/pink suitable for everyday wear. It’s a perfect colour for work, school or anything else you do daily. It has a beautiful creamy finish which looks fresh and youthful. This is defiantly a colour I reach for often as it is so versatile.

No. 2 ‘Ruby Woo’ (Matte)

Ruby Woo is your classic glamorous red lipstick. A lot of ladies own this colour and for a good reason! It’s a true blue based red that looks great with any look. By using this lipstick you could make any day look turn into a night look as it is quite a dramatic colour. If your looking for the perfect red lippy, this is it. It has a matte finish which I really like.

No. 3 ‘Candy Yum-Yum’ (Matte)

Last but not least we have Candy Yum-Yum! As you can see this colour is amazing! It’s one of the brightest pink lipsticks I have ever seen. It is a Matte finish which I think makes the colour pop even more. This colour is perfect for a night out on the town with the girls or if your feeling adventurous and want to try something a bit out there. It is perfect paired with a simple winged eyeliner to really make it pop!

*REVIEW* Whitening Lightning colour your smile lip glosses

Hey Guys!

Today I’m giving you a quick review of the famous Whitening Lightning lip glosses. These lip glosses have been raved about for a little while now and I finally bit the bullet and purchased some! I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and I really was impressed.

Let’s start with the packaging.
Each lipgloss comes in a clear tube with a silver lid. They also have a mirror attached to the side, and a handy little light in the lid. Even though this is a great idea, I have never found my self trying to apply lip gloss in the dark and when I do apply the lip gloss I find the light can be a little bit annoying when your surroundings are already lit as it gets in the road.

They come in a variety of colours ranging from pinks, reds and corals to bright blue and black. So your defiantly going to find a shade you like!
Whitening Lightning also provides plenty of deals and bundles making it a lot cheaper to purchase (regular price is $38US). Also, a lot of you tubers tend to have discount codes for their subscribers to receive free shipping and sometimes up to 50% off, so if you do your research you can get these at an affordable price.

(Left to Right – Butter Cream, Pink Tiara, Coral Craze, Nude, Rose Hill)

I picked up the colours Butter cream, Pink Tiara, Coral Craze, Nude and Rose Hill. I find these glosses to be very smooth on the lips – not too sticky but enough to last on the lips for a good 4 hours or so before needing to reapply. They also seem to give your lips a slight tint when the lipgloss is no longer on your lips which is nice if you don’t get around to reapplying as soon as you had hoped. They don’t have a yucky taste and the smell is not too bad either (not nice but not terrible!)

– long lasting
– great colour selection
– has a light and mirror
– always have sales and discounts on the website

– packaging – one of my glosses literally fell apart when I first received it in the mail, you can tell the plastic packaging is cheap. I did see on the company’s Instagram that they have upgraded their packaging since I purchased mine and have also added a fragrance (thank god)

Overall I was impressed with these lip glosses and I will defiantly be purchasing some more!

My verdict: 8/10

Thanks for reading beauties, talk to you soon!

My current top 5 lip products <3

Hello beauties!

Today I thought I would share with you my current top 5 favourite lip products! Lip trends change constantly and I like to have a favourite few lipsticks in my bag to suit every makeup look and every mood. Let’s dive in!

5. NYX soft matte lip cream in ‘Antwerp’

I like to wear this lipstick with a simple eye because it’s a slightly darker colour, so nice when your looking for something a little more dramatic without being too over the top. The formula is amazing, the matte lip creams are so light on the lips, you can barely feel it on and it lasts all day long.

4. Burt’s Bee’s beeswax lip balm

This lip balm has been my SAVIOUR this winter!! My lips have been so dry and horrible nearly every day and this is the only lip balm that seems to soothe and help the dryness of my lips. It also has a nice tingly feeling but not to the point where it’s uncomfortable. This would definitely be one of the best lip balms I have ever tried.

3. Essence lipstick in colour ’08’

I have been wearing this lipstick when I’m feeling a bit bare with the Reston my makeup. This is the perfect colour to dress up any makeup look, it’s also great if you are wanting to go from a day time look to a night time look in one simple step! It’s the perfect barbie pink (: (it’s also super duper cheap, who doesn’t love a good bargain)

2. NYX round lipstick in ‘Tea Rose’

Now ladies, this is my idea of the perfect dupe for the famous Kylie Jenner Lip colour that girls all over the world are going crazy over. I can understand why she wears that colour so well! I couldn’t not include this in my top 5 fav’s (who doesn’t have this colour among their fav’s ATM?!)

1. Urban Decay Revolutionary lipstick in ‘native’

Last but not least I give you my absolute favourite go to lipstick right now – Urban Decay’s Native. This colour is BEAUTIFUL! I don’t even know the words to describe my love for this lippy. It is a perfect every day pinky nude with a creamy luxurious texture. This colour would suit most people, I wear it on a day to day basis as I usually wear a dramatic eye and I can never go past this lipstick. I can’t find another lipstick that’s yet to compare to this one, a must have in any make up addict’s collection.

Well that’s it for now guys I hope you enjoyed seeing my current top 5 lip products, let me know if you have used these colours before and what your thoughts are on them.

Until next time,
