Australis Brow Tint VS. Maybelline Brow Drama

Hey Lovelies!

I am a brow addict so using the best brow products means everything to me! So i thought today for something different i would do a mini comparison of two brands brow products that i have tried and tested and give you my honest opinion!

No 1. Australis Cosmetics Brow Tint in “Dark Brown”img_1897

First of all how cute is this packaging?! Its so tiny and retro i absolutely love it! The product comes in a tube with a spoolie attached to the lid which is a standard shape, nothing crazy – I prefer this as its easier to control and apply to your brows. This brow product has a tint of colour as the name suggests which helps fill in and even out your brows, this product is great for anyone with sparse brows. If used on its on you can still achieve a natural shade but if used with a brow powder underneath you can get a really polished off look. The brow tint also styles your brows as it is a gel consistency so it helps your brows stay on point all day long. This product is very buildable making it easy to achieve a darker colour if desired.

No 2. Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in “Medium Brown”img_1898

Maybelline’s brow drama is a popular product! I have seen this all over magazines and adds on TV. This product is used to sculpt and shape your brows. You can use this to achieve different looks ranging from perfectly blended brows to fierce fluffy brows. You can use the tip of the spoolie to ‘colour in’ your brows starting from the back end of your brow and working your way forward then use the straight part of the spoolie to comb back your brows into the perfect shape. I personally found the shape of this wand really hard to work with and i made a lot of mess around my brows as i only have fine, small brows.

The Verdict:

For me personally the Australis Brow Tint is the pick of the bunch, it is much easier to work with especially for beginners, and the colour pay off is great and can be built up if needed. I do not enjoy the fact that the Maybelline Brow Drama is so messy to use because of the wand, so i don’t tend to reach for it that often. It is a shame as the shades available are great and very natural looking but the wand just lets this one down.

Have a beautiful day!

January Favourites

Hey guys!

Well the first month of 2017 is done and dusted and it went really quickly! I purchased alot of new makeup this month and have spent quite a bit of money, i go in amd out of makeup buying phases and i am deep in one right now! (Lol) lets get started!

1. The Balm Voyage Palette – The Balm Cosmetics

I have been absolutely loving the pink and orange toned shades from this palette this month, i have worn them nearly every day. These eyeshadows are super smooth and creamy which is good for me because i can get my eye makeup done nice and quick in the morning before work. I also like that this palette has lip & cheek products too! Perfect for travel.
2. Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation – Tarte Cosmetics

This foundation is amazing! It has such good coverage and gives a nice skin like finish while still looking flawless. It has held up well in the heat we have been having here in Aus lately and i rarely need to touch up throughout the day which is a bonus! Seriously cannot put this down at the moment.

3. Shape Tape Concealer – Tarte Cosmetics

I will be doing a full review on this one so i dont want to talk to much about it but i have used it everyday for the month on January and it has been amazing!

4. Master Hi-Light Blush in ‘Coral’ – Maybelline

I have been digging the coral shades in all categories this month and blush is definitely no exception! This coral highlighting blush has been ny go to for that natural peach glow. I find i dont need to use a highlighter with this as it does a great job at that too!

5. Princess EDT – Vera Wang

Princess has been my go to scent this month! Its super fresh and long lasting and i cant get enough of it right now!

Thats all for my January favourites! I have a heap of new reviews coming that i cant wait to shar so stay tuned for those!

December Monthly Favourites

Hey Guys!

Miss me? It’s been a while! I am kicking this month off with my beauty Fave’s from last Month! Check them out below..

1. L’Oreal Infallible 24HR Matte Foundation

This foundation will always be one of my favourite items, i wear it every single day as my go-to base for every look! Its light, and it does not have a greasy feeling at all when applied which is great as i already have oily skin! This bad boy is full coverage.

2. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

I have been loving this concealer for hiding my tired, dark circles under the eyes around the busy christmas period. This product has great coverage and is easy to work with. It does slightly crease if not set with a powder but its nothing i can’t handle!

3. Australis Velour Lips Matte Lip Cream in ‘Phenom-penh’

This colour seriously goes with absolutely everything.. clothes and makeup! I chose this most days for the month of December as it was quick, easy and long lasting. The colour compliments my skin tone and eye colour really well (it also makes your teeth look super white which is always a bonus!).

4. Essence Cosmetics Brow kit Duo

This eye brow duo is so so cheap! I picked mine up for $4AU at Priceline and it is just as good as any other high end brand brow powder. I was enjoying the lighter Ash brown shade in this kit last month.

5. MAC Cosmetics Blush in ‘Warm Soul’

One of my all time favourite blush’s is Warm Soul. This colour gives a natural flushed look and works well with many makeup looks, i normally use this blush on most clients i do makeup for.

There you have it, my top picks for December. I hope everyone has kicked off 2017 with a Bang! xx

REVIEW: Maybelline Contouring Palette

Hey guys!

Whats up? I feel like i haven’t made a post in a long time and to be honest its just one of those times in life where i can get inspired and motivated to do anything! buuuut I’m back and I’m bringing you a review of Maybelline’s Master Sculpt Contouring Palette!

Just the word ‘contour’ scares a lot of people because they don’t know how to do it, where to put it, what it does and how it will turn out. So i thought i would quickly explain these things to you before i jump into my review. Contouring is used for shaping your face. Pretty much any areas of the face/body you want to draw attention away from is where you want to apply your contour.  Most people use contouring on areas like cheeks, nose, forehead, chin, and neck. For example if you feel like you have a large forehead and wish to make it appear “smaller” then you would contour the sides of your forehead and around your hair line. This will draw attention away from your forehead and draw attention to areas like your eyes and nose. For your cheeks, you can apply contour in the hollows of your cheeks and a great way to figure out where this is on yourself is run your pointer finger down the side of your cheek and where you feel your finger drop in a little is where you should be contouring. This gives the illusion of a slimmer face and defined cheek bones (think Instagram makeup!). Now that you have a better understanding of what contouring is lets dive into the review!

IMG_1677.JPGThis contour kit comes in two colours – light and medium. I use the light shade and its perfect for my skin tone! (for reference i use the shade ‘Vanilla’ in the L’Oreal pro matte foundation). In this kit you get a contouring shade which fills most of the pan and a highlighting shade also. Underneath the pan they also provide you with a small travel size contouring brush and a mirror which is always handy. I don’t use the highlighting shade much as i like something a bit more full on but this whole kit would be great for contouring and highlighting newbies.

I struggled to find a contour colour that didn’t make my face look really muddy and dark as all the previous brands i had tried did not provide a colour light enough for me so whenever i attempted to contour it just put me off wanting to keep trying because i couldn’t find a colour that looked half normal on me.. until now! This colour is perfect for me, you don’t need to use a lot of product at all and it applies really smoothly. I use this on most areas of my face including cheek bones, nose, forehead and chin and i don’t look like a pig who’s been rolling in mud which is always a great outcome! To apply this contouring shade i use a flat contour brush. I believe mine is from the brand models prefer.

I LOVE this contour palette, its light enough for people with fair skin that still want to achieve pro makeup looks, its in a great travel size pan, its very affordable retailing at $19.95 at Priceline in AUS and it blends on the skin perfectly and lasts all day. If your new to contouring i highly recommend this over any other contouring product on the drugstore market – its hard to make a mistake with this product!

Thank you so so much for reading my short review, i hope i was able to give you some helpful tips and hints about contouring and a good over view of this product. Let me know your thoughts of this product below! Be sure to follow my Instagram account for new makeup looks and reviews daily.. thats all from me! Have an amazing day.

REVIEW: L’Oreal Paris False Lash Wings Mascara

Good morning Beauties!

I swear every time i find my new favourite mascara the next one i try is even better! At the moment i am loving the L’Oreal Paris false lash wing mascara, it gives me the perfect lash length and volume every time! Before i used this i was a die hard fan of Maybelline Mascara’s (Maybelline is actually owned by L’Oreal so its pretty much L’Oreal’s cheaper sister brand!) I actually received a free goodie box at a Priceline conference i attended last year that had this mascara in it so i thought why not give it a go – it was free after all.

This mascara claims to lift and fan out your eyelashes and it does a great job of it! I believe its the brush that makes this mascara amazing. It has very small hard plastic bristles which separate your lashes and coats them evenly, making application a breeze. If you happen to get some on your eyelid it is extremely easy to remove unlike some other mascaras i have tried, simply get a cotton tip and twist it on top of the mascara and it should come right off!

I find this mascara lasts all day and well into the night without flaking or smudging and it also comes in a water proof option for people with watery eyes etc. The false lash wing mascara retails for $25.95AU at Priceline but keep an eye out for a good bargain as L’Oreal is always having massive sales!

  • easily accesible
  • gives lashes length and volume
  • fans lashes out to give the effect of falsh eyelashes
  • affordable
  • brush makes application easy

  • I seem to run out of product quite quickly

Well thats it guys, thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have an amazing day ❤

REVIEW: Maybelline Sensational lash Mascara

If your on Instagram you would have seen this mascara 100 times in your feed and for good reason.

Today I’m giving you a quick review of this mascara and an overall rating out of 10. So let’s gets started!!

First of all how cute is the packaging!? I’m a sucker for pretty packaging and I’m the type of person who would buy something just because it looks nice on the shelf.  So the bottle gets a tick from me!

Next the formula, I think this mascara is great! It makes your lashes super long but not clumpy and fake looking, it lasts all day without smudging or anything like that. I feel it takes a long time to use up this product a little goes a long way.

The brush is very unique, it offers a small bristle side that separates your lashes and evenly coats them and then the long bristled side is to lengthen your lashes. This method of applying the mascara is very effective and I feel each side of the brush does what Maybelline claims it does. The brush is also curved offering a perfect fit for your eyelid.
Overall I am extremely happy with this mascara. I’m usually quite picky and I have my favourites but this one is definitely up there in my top 3. It retails for $19.95AU At Priceline in Australis which is the average price for mascara in Aus so no complaints there. I’m so happy I found this one and I recommend it to everyone.

I give this mascara 8/10

Thanks for reading I hope you have an amazing day

August Favourites

Hey Beauties!

Its finally the end of Winter, which means we have come to the end of August also, which means its time for monthly faves, yay!

Lets kick it off with the hourglass ambient lighting palette. My skin has been really dry the past 3 weeks or so due to sickness and the winter weather (i normally have extremely oily skin) so i have been using this to give me that dewy glow that i would normally have anyway due to my oily skin. I use a little down my nose, on my cupids bow and on my forehead and chin.

Next we have MAC’s eyeshadow in Nylon. This eyeshadow is so pretty on the inner corner of your eyes, i have been wearing this a lot lately because it amps up any look and draws a lot of attention to your eyes making them pop!

The Balm cosmetic’s Blush in Hot Mama is one of my most loved blushes. Again i have been using this to give my skin that natural looking glow. This is honestly one of the most beautiful blushes i have seen and it suits every skin tone.

This next product i have been using every single day since i purchased it! It’s Maybelline’s master sculpt contouring kit. Firstly can i just say the colour of this palette is perfect for light skin tones! not too orange and not too ashy its the perfect medium. If you struggle to find a perfect contouring colour and you have fair skin i highly recommend picking this baby up! it adds a beautiful warmth to your face without being to over the top.

Last but not least we have the lovely Jubblies breast cream by Lush (don’t you just love the name!) This cream makes any part of your body super soft and it smells amazing, even when other people are wearing it i can smell it on them. I have been using this every night on any parts of my body that are feeling abit dry and unloved.
