Australis Brow Tint VS. Maybelline Brow Drama

Hey Lovelies!

I am a brow addict so using the best brow products means everything to me! So i thought today for something different i would do a mini comparison of two brands brow products that i have tried and tested and give you my honest opinion!

No 1. Australis Cosmetics Brow Tint in “Dark Brown”img_1897

First of all how cute is this packaging?! Its so tiny and retro i absolutely love it! The product comes in a tube with a spoolie attached to the lid which is a standard shape, nothing crazy – I prefer this as its easier to control and apply to your brows. This brow product has a tint of colour as the name suggests which helps fill in and even out your brows, this product is great for anyone with sparse brows. If used on its on you can still achieve a natural shade but if used with a brow powder underneath you can get a really polished off look. The brow tint also styles your brows as it is a gel consistency so it helps your brows stay on point all day long. This product is very buildable making it easy to achieve a darker colour if desired.

No 2. Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in “Medium Brown”img_1898

Maybelline’s brow drama is a popular product! I have seen this all over magazines and adds on TV. This product is used to sculpt and shape your brows. You can use this to achieve different looks ranging from perfectly blended brows to fierce fluffy brows. You can use the tip of the spoolie to ‘colour in’ your brows starting from the back end of your brow and working your way forward then use the straight part of the spoolie to comb back your brows into the perfect shape. I personally found the shape of this wand really hard to work with and i made a lot of mess around my brows as i only have fine, small brows.

The Verdict:

For me personally the Australis Brow Tint is the pick of the bunch, it is much easier to work with especially for beginners, and the colour pay off is great and can be built up if needed. I do not enjoy the fact that the Maybelline Brow Drama is so messy to use because of the wand, so i don’t tend to reach for it that often. It is a shame as the shades available are great and very natural looking but the wand just lets this one down.

Whats your favourite brow product of the moment? Let me know in the comments below!

Have a beautiful day!

December Monthly Favourites

Hey Guys!

Miss me? It’s been a while! I am kicking this month off with my beauty Fave’s from last Month! Check them out below..

img_1853

1. L’Oreal Infallible 24HR Matte Foundation

This foundation will always be one of my favourite items, i wear it every single day as my go-to base for every look! Its light, and it does not have a greasy feeling at all when applied which is great as i already have oily skin! This bad boy is full coverage.

2. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

I have been loving this concealer for hiding my tired, dark circles under the eyes around the busy christmas period. This product has great coverage and is easy to work with. It does slightly crease if not set with a powder but its nothing i can’t handle!

3. Australis Velour Lips Matte Lip Cream in ‘Phenom-penh’

This colour seriously goes with absolutely everything.. clothes and makeup! I chose this most days for the month of December as it was quick, easy and long lasting. The colour compliments my skin tone and eye colour really well (it also makes your teeth look super white which is always a bonus!).

4. Essence Cosmetics Brow kit Duo

This eye brow duo is so so cheap! I picked mine up for $4AU at Priceline and it is just as good as any other high end brand brow powder. I was enjoying the lighter Ash brown shade in this kit last month.

5. MAC Cosmetics Blush in ‘Warm Soul’

One of my all time favourite blush’s is Warm Soul. This colour gives a natural flushed look and works well with many makeup looks, i normally use this blush on most clients i do makeup for.

There you have it, my top picks for December. I hope everyone has kicked off 2017 with a Bang! xx

REVIEW: Australis Oh Hai Brow Kit

Hey guys!

Since Australia Day was on Tuesday i thought what better way to celebrate then to share with you one of my favourite products from an Aussie Brand! Im talking about the Oh Hai Brow Kit from Australis. If you follow my instagram account (@glamoureyesx) then you would already know that i use this for pretty much every single makeup look i do. Let me show you why this is a holy grail product for me!

IMG_1653.JPG

PRICE

This brow kit is so cheap! compared to products like the Revlon brow pencil and the Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade the Australis brow kit is great value for money retailing at 16.99AU at Priceline. You can find Australis at Big W, Priceline and on the Australis online store.

PACKAGING

As you can see the packaging is a black plastic container which is nice and sturdy. On the back Australis has provided you with nice little instructions on how to use this kit complete with diagrams! Perfect for someone not confident at filling in brows. Inside you get a light brow powder, a dark brow powder, a highlight powder, a brown wax, a double sided application brush, a set of tweezers and a mirror, so you literally have everything you need in this kit! I also have one of these in my makeup kit as it has the different brow powder colours so its great to use on all different people!

QUALITY

This is hands down one of the smoothest brow powders i have ever used. Every time i decide to try something new to get out of my comfort zone i only end up disappointed. Im not sure what Australis puts in this stuff – but its magical! It lasts all day and i get compliments all the time on my brows. You can apply it with a light hand for a natural look or apply it with a heavy hand for a dramatic look – this product is very versatile. Also did i mention Australis is an Animal Cruelty Free Brand? So you don’t have to feel guilty about using this one!

Overall this product is great! I honestly don’t have one bad thing to say about it. Run out to the shops and grab this one ASAP – you need this in your life.

Thank you so much for reading my review, let me know below if you have used this and what your thoughts are. Have a beautiful day ❤

July favourites ❤️

Hello everyone!

Just a quick post today to share with you my monthly favourites for July, I’m super excited to share these with you!!

Let’s get started….

First off is the new Maybelline master sculpt contouring and highlighting palette. Guys, this is AMAZING! If you are someone who struggles to find a contour shade that doesn’t look too orange or too muddy on you then you NEED to try this in the colour ‘light/medium’ it’s the perfect colour for light skin tones and even some medium skin tones. It’s great for every day wear without looking too full on and I’m in love!
Number 2 is the Australis cosmetics Blemish Buster primer. This has become something I use every day. It’s extremely lightweight and I honestly do believe it helps to keep my skin clear and it doesn’t make it worse like some primers do. This primer is great and Australis does not test on animals so you can feel good about purchasing this one.

Next is MAC cosmetics lipstick in ‘girl about town’. I LOVE this bright pink lipstick, it’s one that just looks good on its own with a basic winged eyeliner. It brightens up my mood and my look for the day and everyone looks good wearing it. A cheaper dupe for this lipstick is the Rimmel lipstick in No. 20. They are pretty much identical, Girl about town just lasts a little bit longer.

Last but not least the one I’m most excited about is the new L’Oreal infallible 24hr matte foundation. There has been so much talk about this foundation and for good reason too! It has a flawless finish and I find a small 5 cent piece size amount is enough to do your whole face which is great for those who like to make their product last. I am not normally a huge fan of matte foundations as it can look cakey really quickly but this is just something on a whole new level. If you haven’t tried it I definitely recommend giving it a go but if you do be sure to buy the primer as well as I have heard its a lot better with the primer (I have only used it with the primer).

Everything I have mentioned here I baught from Priceline (except for the MAC Lipstick which I purchased off the MAC website).

I hope you enjoyed reading this, comment below what you have been loving this month and why, I would love to know!

*REVIEW* Australis AC On Tour Contour Kit

Hey Guys!
Hope your day is going well, today I’m bringing you guys a review of the brand new highly anticipated Australis AC on tour kit!
I have been waiting for this to arrive at Priceline for a little while and it finally turned up! I’m really excited to share this with you.

IMG_0301.JPG
First of all this palette is obviously a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit (but better because it’s a fraction of the price!) at $16.95AU from Priceline this contour kit would be great for anyone just starting out in makeup or want to learn how to contour and highlight but don’t want to spend a fortune on products if you decide you dont want to continue contouring and highlighting after testing it out.

IMG_0292.JPG
Another GREAT feature on this palette is that it has instructions on how to use it on the back, which is great for beginners as it shows step by step how to use it.

The palette contains 6 powders, 3 highlighting colours and 3 contouring colours. The only down side to this palette is that the contouring colour may be to dark for people with fair skin. I have medium toned skin and I feel the colours are almost to dark for me, but if I use them lightly they are fine.

IMG_0298.JPG
(Top row – highlighters, Bottom row – contour)
The powders don’t have specific names they are just called “1,2,3,4,5,6”. The quality of the powders is great! They are beautiful and creamy I didn’t find them to be powdery at all and they applied and blended nicely on my face.

IMG_0296.JPG

So for the highlighting colours – on the left we have a general highlighting colour, great for highlighting areas like your forehead bridge of your nose, chin etc. The middle colour is a yellow toned powder which is perfect for highlighting under your eyes, anything yellow toned is going to brighten your skin and let’s face it that’s what we all need under our eyes! The last colour on the right is a shimmery highlighter perfect for highlighting your cheek bones and your Cupid’s bow. This adds a healthy sheen to your skin so help your skin look dewy, healthy and youthful.

IMG_0302.JPG

Here we have the contour colours. As you can see they are all quite dark and similar in colour, with these 3 you could use any of these for contouring your check bones, around your hairline,Malone the sides of your nose and anywhere else you feel the need to creat depth on your face. The one on the left is a warm chocolate toned brown, great for most skin tones. The middle colour is an ash toned brown, to me this is a tricky colour to work with for contouring but it might suit someone else’s skin tone perfectly! The third colour is a warm terracotta brown. This colour would be great for Summer as it is a really rich orange-brown.

Overall I LOVE this palette, it’s so affordable and would be a great present for someone just starting out in makeup or someone that’s building a makeup kit. Australis has been rocking it lately with the products they are bringing out! I am honestly excited to see what comes next.

PRO’S:
-very affordable
-great quality
-has a step by step guide
-animal cruelty free
-variety of shades

CON’S:
– might not be suitable for fair skin toned people as the contour colours are quite dark.

Thanks for reading beauties x

OCTOBER FAVOURITES 💙

Hey beauties!
We are already coming to an end of another month… Where has the year gone!? I thought today I would share with you my October favourites as there’s been a few items I have been reaching for every day this month. Let’s jump straight into it!
IMG_0305.JPG

First of all I have been loving the new Australis metallic foil eyeshadow, oh my.. These eye shadows are amazing everyone seriously needs these in their collection! The colour I’ve been wearing a lot is ‘Jay Zed’ it’s a golden khaki colour, so flattering on blue eyes and its a beautiful unique colour.

IMG_0309.JPG

Next we have the City Cosmetics city lips plumping gloss. This product is pretty much my holy grail. I really don’t know how I lived before this gem came into my life (just a little dramatic). It’s a clear lip gloss that has collagen peptides in it. You leave it on for 1o minutes and watch the magic happen. I have had small lips my whole life and this gives me big defined perfect lips in a matter of minutes and lasts most of the day. Let me know if you guys want a review on this!

IMG_0311.JPG

A cheek product I have been loving is the Models Prefer cream blush in ‘love’. This blush is a beautiful tangerine/peach colour. It makes your makeup look so fresh and clean while adding the perfect pinch of colour to your face. I’m not usually a fan of cream blushes but I couldn’t pass up this colour! It was also very affordable.

IMG_0312.JPG

The next thing I have been obsessed with this month is the Maybelline colossal volume express smoky eye mascara. Now I have shirt lashes and i struggle to find a nice mascara that lengthens and doesn’t dry up after a few weeks. I think I’ve found the one ladies.. This mascara makes it look like I’m wearing fake eyelashes when I’m not because I’m hopeless at applying them (frustrating!) anyone with short lashes needs this… Like now.

IMG_0308.JPG

This lip liner is a MUST for my every day makeup. It’s the Body shop’s lip line fixer. It’s just a clear wax really but it makes any lipstick I own, high end or low end last all day long and it won’t budge. When I forget to wear this I just take off my lipstick because it won’t stay on anywhere near as long as it would of with this underneath it. It also gives your lipstick something to hold onto when applying so it’s easier to get the perfect lip line without messing it up.

IMG_0315.JPG

Next up I have Face of Australia’s lip quench lipstick in ‘Peaches & Cream’. This is my go to every day lip colour at the moment, it’s a your lip but better colour. Peaches and cream adds just the right amount of colour but still looks natural enough for any occasion.

IMG_0314.JPG

Another favourite for this month is the Australis contour kit (I know I’m obsessed with Australis lately) this palette is great as it has all the highlighting and contouring colours you need in one easy compact palette. Great for beginners or anyone looking to build their makeup collection. I have a review coming soon for you guys on this so keep your eyes out for that one. I’m loving the banana yellow powder for highlighting under my eyes, it adds the perfect amount of brightness!

IMG_0307.JPG

Lastly we have my absolute favourite foundation of all time, the cover girl outlast 3in1 foundation. This is seriously perfection in a bottle. I have oily skin and I usually buy matte foundations but this one lets me have dewy looking skin without looking like a grease slick! It also doesn’t break me out which really surprised me when I first used it. My oily skin girls need to pick this baby up asap!

IMG_0317.JPG

Well that’s it for now, I hope you enjoyed my October favourites, comment below if you use any of these and what your favourite is I would love to know.

Have a fab day 💋

REVIEW! Australis AC/ME Metallic Finish Eyeshadows

Good morning Beauties ❤️
Long time no posts! I have been so busy with work the past few months as I started a new job at Priceline (absolutely love it!) and I haven’t had much time to do some reviews, but I’m here now and today I’m bringing you a quick review on the Australis metallic finish eye shadows! If you guys haven’t picked these up yet…. You need too!

IMG_0279.JPG

These gems are a creamy, foil like eyeshadow. If you love all that glitters you will need these in your life. They are a great cheaper alternative to the stila magnificent metals eye shadows. I picked mine up from Priceline for 7.95 which I thought was a great price for the quality of these eye shadows.

IMG_0280.JPG

The metallic foil finish eye shadows come in 3 different colours. I love the colours they have but it would have been great to see a couple more colours in the range like a metallic red, blue, pink or silver just to mix it up a bit. These colours probably won’t suit everyone but they are so different and it may be something that’s been missing from your eyeshadow collection! They have a beautiful creamy texture which makes them glide perfectly onto your eyelid. I found these extremely easy to work with and they blend perfectly. I set mine with a light dusting of translucent face powder just so they didn’t crease throughout the day and this worked very well.

IMG_0282.JPG
First we have ‘Plum Diddy’ which is a black eye shadow with red glitter specks in it. A very pretty vampy colour, I only wish it had a bit more red in it as when I wear it, it looks completely black. Still, this is a great colour to wear out or to a concert.

IMG_0288.JPG
Next we have ‘Bronzonce’ which as the name suggests is a light bronze colour. This is probably the most normal looking colour out of the 3. Very shiny so if you want an eyeshadow that’s going to catch the light and draw attention to your eyes, this would be the one to do that. This would look great on blue eyes.

IMG_0285.JPG
Last but not least we have my favourite colour from the collection, ‘Jay Zed’. This is a beautiful golden khaki colour. That’s the best way to describe it! It’s so different to anything I own and every time I wear this colour I get so many compliments. I thought this would be the one I liked the least but boy was i wrong. If there was one colour I would suggest to pick up it would be this one.

Overall I think the eye shadows have a great long lasting formula and offer a different variety of colours. The price is amazing for what you get. I highly recommend you guys to try one or two of these eye shadows!

PRO’S:
– different colours
– great price
– long lasting
– nice texture
– easy to work with

CON’S:
– more colours would have been nice

Have you tried these bad boys yet? What’s your favourite colour?
Have a great weekend guys!!
